MarkeDown collects no data

MarkeDown runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, store or send any personal information, documents, usage statistics or crash reports, and it has no accounts, analytics or advertising.

Your documents

Your documents are files on your own computer, saved where you choose. MarkeDown only reads files you open and only writes files you save or export.

Settings

Your preferences (theme, text size, export options and window position) are stored locally on your Mac and never leave it.

Network

MarkeDown makes no network connections of its own. If you click a web link in a document, it opens in your web browser, which is covered by that browser's privacy policy.

Setapp

If you use MarkeDown through Setapp, Setapp handles your subscription and may receive basic usage information, as described in Setapp's own privacy policy.
